An audio cutter lets you keep just the part of a sound file you want. Drop in an MP3, WAV, M4A or other audio file, drag the start and end handles over the waveform (or type exact times), and export the trimmed region as a lossless WAV or a compact MP3.
Everything happens locally: your file is decoded with your browser's built-in Web Audio engine, cut as raw PCM samples, and re-packaged on your own device. Your audio never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded to a server, so even large or private recordings stay entirely with you.

Which audio formats can I load?
Anything your browser can decode — MP3, WAV and AAC/M4A work almost everywhere, while FLAC and OGG depend on the browser (FLAC is Chromium-only, OGG varies). If a file can't be decoded you'll see a clear message and can convert it first.
Is the cut lossless?
The trim itself is a clean sample-accurate cut. Exporting to WAV keeps 16-bit PCM with no quality loss; exporting to MP3 re-encodes the region, which is lossy but small — choose WAV if you plan to edit further.
Does my audio get uploaded?
No. Decoding, trimming and encoding all run inside your browser tab, so the audio never leaves your device and no server ever sees it.
How do I set the exact start and end?
Drag the two range sliders under the waveform, or type precise start and end times in seconds into the number boxes — the selection and its duration update live.
