Subscription Cost Calculator

Add up all your recurring subscriptions into their true monthly, yearly and 5-year cost — and what that money could earn invested.

About this tool

Subscription Cost Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that totals every recurring subscription — streaming, apps, gym, insurance — into one true monthly and yearly figure, whatever mix of weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly billing they use.

Each subscription is converted to an annual amount (weekly ×52, monthly ×12, quarterly ×4, yearly ×1) and summed. The tool also projects the 5-year cost and, using the annuity future-value formula with your expected return, what the same monthly amount would grow to if invested for 5 years instead.

List everything on your card statements, then cancel the ones that don't earn their line. Nothing you enter leaves your device — the audit runs entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How are different billing periods combined?
Each amount is annualized first: weekly subscriptions count 52 times a year, monthly 12, quarterly 4 and yearly once. The monthly total is the annual total divided by 12.
How is the invested-instead figure calculated?
It applies the future-value-of-annuity formula PMT × ((1+i)^60 − 1) ÷ i to your monthly total over 60 months, where i is your expected annual return ÷ 12. It assumes the return compounds monthly and stays constant.
Can I remove or add subscriptions?
Yes — use the add button for a new row and the ✕ button to delete one. Rows with an empty amount are simply ignored in the totals.
Is my subscription list saved or uploaded?
No. The list lives only on the page in your browser and disappears when you leave — nothing is transmitted or stored.
