SIP / Recurring Investment Calculator

Future value of a fixed monthly investment with optional annual step-up, split into invested amount and gains.

About this tool

SIP / Recurring Investment Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that projects the future value of investing a fixed amount every month — a systematic investment plan (SIP) or any recurring deposit — and splits the result into the amount you invested versus the wealth gained. Everything computes locally in your browser.

Each installment is invested at the start of the month and compounds at the monthly rate (annual return ÷ 12), matching the standard annuity-due SIP formula FV = P·[((1+i)^n − 1)/i]·(1+i). An optional annual step-up increases the installment by a fixed percentage at the start of every new year, modeling the common practice of raising your SIP as your salary grows.

Use it to see what 500 a month becomes over 10 years at 12%, or how a 10% yearly step-up dramatically changes the final corpus versus a flat contribution.

Frequently asked questions

When are installments assumed to be invested?
At the beginning of each month (annuity-due), so every installment earns that month's return. This matches the convention used by major SIP calculators; end-of-month investing would produce a slightly smaller figure.
What is a step-up SIP?
A SIP where the monthly amount rises by a fixed percentage once a year — here applied at the start of each new 12-month block. Leave it at 0 for a classic flat SIP.
How is the expected return applied?
The annual rate you enter is divided by 12 into a monthly rate and compounded monthly. Real market returns are volatile, so the projection is an estimate of the average path, not a guarantee.
Do you store my investment details?
No. The calculator is fully client-side — amounts and results never leave your device.
